It may have seemed like 50 Cent and Young Buck settled their differences over an alleged $250,000 debt, but the saga continues. The Nashville rapper and his legal team recently claimed there is no proof he received the payment that caused their decade-long feud.
This began when the G-Unit members had a falling out, but the 43-year-old rapper was still under contract. The label claims they paid him $250,000 and the Power executive producer filed a claim for the money while Buck dealt with bankruptcy. The “Get Buck” rapper went on to sell the rights to all of his music and auction his jewelry and cars, raising $1 million in the process.
Reportedly, he paid off his debt to 50 as well as his $190,000 IRS debts and child support that he owed. However, the “In Da Club” rapper maintained that he was still owed, which forced Buck to counter and say he had no proof of ever being paid $250,000, per AllHipHop. G-Unit also revealed that they do not have documentation proving that they paid him the money. Buck is looking for judges to dismiss the $250,000 claim.
Young Buck previously blamed 50 Cent for him struggling financially and ending up bankrupt. “Once he stopped me from being able to make money, I filed another bankruptcy,” he said in 2022 on It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper.
“They stopped him from being able to cease-and-desist in regards to me being able to. I included what he claimed that I owed him in the bankruptcy to be able to say, ‘Well hey, if you’re owed this and present whatever receipts or whatever… You will be paid type of situation.’ But that was the only way I was able to go forward with working.”
Even with their financial and legal issues, Buck is still willing to reunite with 50 and his former G-Unit peers. “I don’t got nothing negative to say in regards to us at this point. I had a great run,” he said on The Ed Clay Show. “Could I come back to G-Unit and tour and get money together? Yeah. I’m open to that.”
