The Summer Smash Festival roared back to life for its seventh year, transforming SeatGeek Stadium near Chicago into a Hip-Hop haven from June 20–22, 2025. Drawing over 100,000 fans for a high-octane, three-day celebration of music, culture, and community, the event once again reaffirmed its status as a global destination for festival-goers.
Organized by Chicago’s own Lyrical Lemonade and SPKRBX, the 2025 edition delivered a once-a-year atmosphere unlike anything else in today’s festival landscape. “The Summer Smash remains a global destination for festival-goers,” organizers shared, and this year’s performances made good on that promise.
Headliners included a triumphant return by Young Thug—his first since 2022—who brought surprise guests Travis Scott and T.I. to the stage. Future lit up Saturday night with a career-spanning set, while Don Toliver and YEAT debuted their world-premiere collaborative performance. The undercard featured a stacked roster: Chance the Rapper, Lil Yachty, Sexyy Red, G Herbo, Quavo, Trippie Redd, NAV, and Saba, as well as cult icons like Soulja Boy and Insane Clown Posse.
Fans were treated to three massive stages, immersive art installations, carnival games, and a skyline-piercing Ferris wheel. With over 30 food vendors and attendees flying in from around the world, Summer Smash not only electrified the music scene—it made a multi-million dollar impact on the greater Chicagoland economy.
