Rihanna made a striking appearance at the Smurfs world premiere in Brussels on June 28, where she revealed her go-to karaoke song by one of R&B’s talented newcomers.
Dressed in a sheer baby blue Chanel ensemble, a very pregnant Rih shared with Capital FM her current go-to karaoke song — naming Mariah The Scientist‘s “Burning Blue” ballad.
The 37-year-old singer and business mogul paused for a moment, then smiled as she revealed her pick. “Oh my gosh, it’s, it’s, it’s … maybe ‘Burning Blue’ by Mariah the Scientist,” she shared with a laugh. The emotional ballad released in May as the lead single from Mariah’s upcoming fourth studio album, and the track has already made waves at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The premiere not only drew attention to Rihanna and her baby bump, but A$AP Rocky as well, who seemingly spilled the beans on their growing family.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rocky hinted at the sex of their unborn child. When asked if the “girl” he had been waiting for had arrived, the Harlemite smiled and gestured to a Smurfette toy, saying, “It is, man, it is.” When Rihanna was asked the same question later, she played it coy, teasing, “Let’s see if it’s a Smurfette! I don’t know! Could be a Papa Smurf! Who knows!”
Both are already parents to two sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 1.
Rihanna also spoke on whether the baby’s name would follow the family tradition and start with an R like her sons RZA and Riot, the “Lift Me Up” singer confirmed: “It’s always going to be an R name — that’s the one thing me and Rocky don’t fight over.”
