The private life of Afropop legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has been thrown into public scrutiny following an explosive and deeply emotional outcry from his biological brother, Charles Idibia aka Charlybrave, who accused the singer’s new wife, Natasha, of placing him under intense emotional control and psychological captivity.
In his Instagram posts, Charlybrave delivered what many now describe as a heartfelt intervention and a desperate wake-up call.
He expressed love and admiration for his brother but did not hold back in exposing what he claims is a disturbing pattern of manipulation and identity erasure allegedly orchestrated by Natasha.
“There are not enough words in English to express how much I love you, so I won’t even try,” Charlybrave began.
“To the gentle, kind, loving, peaceful being… who would take losses in business just to avoid confrontation… who stays mute and watches himself painted as the bad guy just to protect the same person painting him.”
Charlybrave described 2Baba as a man who has spent years suffering in silence—valuing peace over truth, and loyalty over self-preservation.
He likened him to “the modern-day Jesus Christ from Nigeria,” not out of blasphemy, but because of what he described as 2Baba’s innocence, calmness, and willingness to absorb blame for others.
But that tone quickly turned urgent.
“I beg you today — WAKE UP! It can never be a crime to save yourself, to move on from where you were almost losing your life and soul. But you haven’t moved on. You have been captured—from inside the frying pan to an industrial furnace. So my heart bleeds.”
The music star’s brother expanded his accusations. He claimed Natasha had overstepped every boundary of privacy and trust — including allegedly cloning 2Baba’s WhatsApp, deleting messages she disliked, and replying others pretending to be him.
According to him, she posted and deleted photos on his Instagram, publicly begged Nigerians to help her convince 2Baba to marry her while he slept, and even broke into his phone to announce his divorce because she doubted he would go through with it.
“A girlfriend who snoops might come off as cute… but not one who hijacks your identity, manipulates your life, and steamrolls her own agenda through your name.” he continued
Charlybrave further accused Natasha of dragging 2Baba from his established base in Lagos to Abuja under the guise of a new beginning, allegedly convincing him to abandon his management and businesses in the process.
He described the music icon as being reduced to “arm candy,” paraded through events across Benin and other regions 2Baba would never typically attend.
He wrote;
“She made you defend lies. She sabotaged your business trips. She would adopt your surname and tell strangers she’s your wife.”

Though Natasha’s public presence remains minimal and 2Baba has not responded to the accusations, the timing of these posts has raised eyebrows—coming shortly after the singer’s viral video apology to Natasha over a controversial statement about men and monogamy.
The tone of that video had already stirred concern among fans, many of whom now believe it may have been made under pressure.
What remains undeniable is the gravity of Charlybrave’s words — not just as a brother, but as someone claiming to witness a loved one being slowly stripped of his identity.
