Nollywood actor Akin Olaiya has subtlety responded to a controversy he was recently embroiled in, following his wedding.

The Yoruba movie star shared some fire photos with his wife, seemingly in response to critics.

Recall Akin Olaiya recently had his traditional wedding and Nikkai. A video from the event made rounds online, particularly because his bride wasn’t smiling at all.

The clip saw Akin on the dance floor, dancing his heart out while the bride stood beside him looking very uninterested. That single video had people talking, with comments flying about how she must have reportedly been forced to get married.

Before the conspiracy theories could cook any further, a family member of the bride came online to clear the air. She said the marriage was not forced, the bride price was paid, and everything was done properly. According to her, the bride is Hausa, and it’s part of the culture for brides to be reserved and composed on their wedding day.

Seemingly addressing the accusations in his way, Akin Olaiya took to his official Instagram account to drop some stunning traditional wedding portraits with his queen. The groom rocked the same white agbada and cap while the bride wore a brown-and-gold outfit from the viral video.
