The verdict is in, and Sean “Diddy” Combs has been found guilty on the charge of transportation for prostitution. However, he’s been acquitted on the two more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Needless to say, Hip Hop and R&B stars who’ve been following the trial have a few opinions on the verdict, including trial witnesses Cassie Ventura and Dawn Richard, as well as loyal Diddy supporter Boosie and former girlfriend, Yung Miami.
And of course, 50 Cent had thoughts on Puff’s trial, continuing to troll the mogul even after the favorable decision.
Check out Hip-Hop and R&B stars’ reactions to the Diddy verdict below.

Boosie

“I’m so glad Diddy free, bruh,” he began. “The reason is, I’m tired of seeing us Black moguls get took down like that.” He later added that Diddy has “done all this sh*t for people, I know he ain’t always paid people, but he did all this sh*t for Hip-Hop.”
Boosie also addressed people who criticized him for supporting Diddy throughout the trial, saying, “I’m thinking about seven children. Y’all think about one person… Not knowing if yo daddy gon’ come home or not is a burden on a child… so I’m glad he free. I’m happy for that dude’s children.”

Dawn Richard
Image Credit: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images for MTV Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, who testified against and is suing Diddy, has released a statement via her attorney, Lisa Bloom, on her “disappointment” in Puff being acquitted of his most serious charges.
“Today’s split verdict is a disappointment, but the criminal charges are different than the civil claims we filed and have been fighting against Sean Combs,” Bloom told UsWeekly. “We will continue to aggressively fight our case until we obtain full and complete justice for Dawn.”

Aubrey O’Day

“Oh my God,” she began as she watched the news unravel. “This makes me physically ill. Cassie probably feels so horrible.”

Yung Miami
Image Credit: Mike Coppola/Getty Images Yung Miami‘s cryptic post was of the viral Justin Bieber clip of him doing the two-finger clap while smiling, which many took as her way of celebrating the mogul beating his RICO and sex trafficking charges. For the record, she doesn’t mention the Bad Boy Records founder by name, but fans are convinced her timing isn’t coincidental.

Cassie
Image Credit: Ethan Miller/Getty Images for SHOWTIME A key witness in the case, Cassie Ventura released a statement shortly after the verdict was announced.
“This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023. Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.
“By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice. We must repeat – with no reservation – that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial. She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion. This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”

50 Cent
Image Credit: 50 Cent Instagram The Queens rapper has been trolling Puff throughout the trial, continuing to do so by comparing him to a “gay John Gotti” after he was acquitted on two of his three major charges. Gotti was acquitted in his 1987 RICO trial, found not guilty on charges related to illegal gambling, loan sharking, murder, and truck hijackings. The win earned him the moniker “The Teflon Don.”
