Nigerian music icon D’banj is celebrating nearly a decade of love, partnership, and quiet strength with his wife, Lineo Kilgrow Oyebanjo.
On Wednesday, July 3rd, the Oliver Twist crooner marked his 9th wedding anniversary with a heartfelt tribute to the woman he calls his “queen” and “partner till infinity.”
The 45-year-old entertainer, whose real name is Oladapo Oyebanjo, shared loved-up photos of himself and Lineo on Instagram, accompanied by a touching message that melted the hearts of fans. He wrote:
“Happy Anniversary, My Queen 🌹 It’s been 9 years of love, laughter, greatness, and beautiful children. You’ve given me inner peace and purpose. Every day with you is a blessing, and I couldn’t imagine doing this life without you. 100 more years to go my love, so help us God 🥂”
He ended the message with a powerful declaration of love:
“Lineo, I love you till infinity partner.”
D’banj and Lineo tied the knot in a private ceremony back in 2016, a union that was deliberately kept under wraps for several months.
Their love story, though guarded, has not been without trials. In 2018, the couple suffered the unimaginable loss of their first child, Daniel Oyebanjo III, who tragically drowned in a pool accident. The devastating incident shook fans across the country and left the family heartbroken. Yet through grief, the couple’s bond only seemed to grow stronger.
In 2021, the couple welcomed a daughter, a rainbow after the storm. That same year, D’banj surprised Lineo with a luxurious Hermès Birkin bag and stacks of cash to celebrate her strength and their love.
Over the years, D’banj has continued to publicly honour his wife during special moments, referring to her as his “heartbeat” in a 2020 anniversary post, and often describing her as his source of inner peace and stability.
