After months of silence, Kim Porter’s best friend, Eboni Elektra, has reacted to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ verdict in his federal sex trafficking case — leaving many with raised eyebrows.
Upon Diddy being found guilty on two counts of prostitution-related charges and acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering, Elektra took to Instagram to share her thoughts. She offered a mix of prayer, reflection, and support for the embattled music mogul, who is also reportedly her cousin.
“PRAISE GOD,” she captioned a close-up photo of Combs’ face, before launching into a message rooted in faith and forgiveness. “Opinions… we are all entitled to them. Mistakes… we all make them. Judging… we all do it. Gossip… we are all guilty of it. God’s will… is higher than any opinion, mistake, judgement, or gossip.”
The 54-year-old ended her post with a question that sent eyebrows into orbit: “WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE??? That’s God’s job. It’s all in His hands.” She followed with Bible hashtags, angel emojis, and a calm “my opinion,” but social media wasn’t here for the sermon.

The backlash to her post was swift and harsh. Critics flooded Elektra’s comments accusing her of disrespecting her late best friend and undermining the harrowing testimony of Cassie Ventura, who accused him of abuse during their decade-long relationship.
One commenter wrote, “Funny Kim went through so much disrespect and abuse, yet youre supporting that,” as another wrote, “Poor Kim, it’s becoming very apparent she had no REAL friends.” A third person pointed out, “You haven’t made not one comment about this until now. Really should’ve kept it that way.”
Singer and songwriter, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, also appeared in the comments in support of Elektra’s post, defending “being freaky.” She wrote, “Yeah!!!!! ppl wanna charge you so bad for being freaky…nasty work!!”
Many began to direct their comments at Tiny and even Kandi who also supported Elektra’s sentiments. “@kandi why are you agreeing with this comment? You are the same woman who had a whole fit when Phadra accused you of SA,” wrote one person, as another brought up, “[Tiny] weren’t you accused of running a SA operation and trafficking young girls??? Seems like not much has changed and maybe we need to run an investigation further into you…. I can’t stand weak women.”
Porter and Combs, who shared a long on-again, off-again relationship from 1994 to 2007, had three children together: Christian “King,” and twins D’Lila and Jessie. Diddy also adopted Porter’s son Quincy, from her previous relationship with Al B. Sure!
Porter tragically died in 2018 at just 47 years old and has continued to be brought up as the Bad Boy founder considered her his “soulmate.”

That claim — that Kim was “the one” — was echoed during trial by Diddy’s defense attorney Teny Geragos, who argued that Cassie ended her relationship with Combs because she knew she would “never” be what Porter was to him. According to Geragos, Cassie stayed by Diddy’s side after Porter’s passing, but once she realized she would never be the “love of his life,” she left.
The defense narrative painted Cassie as emotionally envious of Porter, but many online didn’t buy it — especially after video footage from 2016 surfaced showing Combs violently attacking Cassie in a hotel hallway. Even Kim’s father, Jake Porter, spoke out last year, telling Rolling Stone that seeing the Cassie footage gave him a “different outlook” and made him wonder about his daughter’s time with the Hip-Hop mogul.
“I didn’t know he could stoop that low,” he said.
As Combs awaits sentencing, public opinion on his verdict remains divided.
