The X (formerly Twitter) streets are on fire again and it’s BBNaija star Tacha Akide versus controversial writer and self-proclaimed life coach Solomon Buchi.
It all began after a viral clip surfaced online showing Tacha’s grand return to Nigeria. The reality TV star was seen stepping out of a luxury car to a loud and cheerful welcome from fans. This scene didn’t sit well with Buchi, who couldn’t resist throwing a jab.
“This is literally the reason Nigerian celebrities don’t like moving abroad,” he tweeted sarcastically. “Because they’ll miss the jobless Nigerians who fawn over them like this. LMAO.”
That comment didn’t land softly with Tacha, who fired back with a brutal clapback that immediately caught fire online. She responded:
“Calling Nigerians jobless but you set professional camera with mic talking about me! – screams joblessness.”
“Better be thanking your wife for housing you, ’cause you’ve been in the UK for God knows how long, job you never see… Now you’re just a worthless house husband with ring light. Cry baby, cryyyy.”
Solomon Buchi wasn’t going to let that slide. In a reply laced with personal shots, he dragged Tacha’s past and living situation into the mud. He fired:
“My legitimate wife houses me, but you’re housed by other people’s husbands. Port Harcourt illiterate. Quote. TACHA.”
He didn’t stop there. In additional posts, Buchi mocked Tacha’s recent stay in the UK, insinuating she couldn’t keep up with the lifestyle.
“She couldn’t cope with living in the UK,” he wrote, before bragging, “My wife is an actuarial scientist.”
The messy back-and-forth sparked a wave of mixed reactions from netizens. While many praised Tacha for defending herself, others called Buchi out for his frequent clashes with women, especially female celebrities. Some felt he crossed the line by bringing up personal matters, while others thought Tacha’s comeback was too savage for someone claiming to be unbothered.
Tacha, known for her bold personality and no-holds-barred attitude since rising to fame on BBNaija’s ‘Pepper Dem’ season in 2019, recently returned from the UK, fueling speculations about her next career move.
