Gospel music star Mercy Chinwo and her former record label boss, EeZee Tee, are now taking concrete steps to resolve their widely publicized royalty dispute.
According to a new statement from the management of EeZee Conceptz, both parties have entered into dialogue with the aim of settling the matter peacefully and outside the courtroom.
This development marks a significant turn in the months-long saga that shook Nigeria’s gospel music space.
The initial fallout, which included legal claims of forgery and withheld royalties by Chinwo, had seen public involvement from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and provoked intense online debate over artist rights and music label ethics.
But in a surprising and hopeful update, Nancy Nnadi, the Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz, confirmed that both sides have begun a peaceful mediation process, facilitated by respected figures within the gospel and Christian community.
Her recent public statement included a full retraction of earlier comments she had made about Chinwo, as well as an appeal for calm and unity.
“I retract my earlier post… and pray that God perfects the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith,” Nnadi wrote in parts in an Instagram post.

Though full terms of the potential resolution remain undisclosed, sources say the process is being handled privately and respectfully, with a shared goal of preserving both Chinwo’s brand and EeZee Conceptz’s reputation in the gospel industry.
Mercy Chinwo, who has since moved on to manage her career independently, has yet to comment publicly on the latest update. Likewise, EeZee Tee has remained silent, though insiders suggest that all parties are working in good faith toward a final agreement.
If successful, the settlement could not only put an end to months of legal tension but also serve as a powerful example of conflict resolution and forgiveness within faith-based creative spaces.
