Janet Jackson and Maxwell are stirring up headlines after making a recent public appearance together at the 1,500th performance of Cabaret at London’s Kit Kat Club.
The two R&B icons arrived at the Playhouse Theatre hand-in-hand, instantly sparking speculation about the nature of their relationship.
Jackson, dressed in a tailored white pantsuit with her hair pulled up into a braided bun, walked confidently beside Maxwell, who wore a classic black, pinstriped suit. The longtime friends appeared to be extra comfortable with each other, fueling talk of a potential romance.
While they’ve been seen together in the past, this latest outing marked a more intimate tone.
The five-time Grammy winner has long kept her personal life out of the spotlight. Jackson’s most recent marriage to Qatari businessman, Wissam Al Mana ended in 2017, and prior to that, the 59-year-old had high-profile relationships with producer Jermaine Dupri and dancer René Elizondo.
Maxwell, known for his discretion, has rarely addressed his private life publicly, despite being linked to a few notable names over the years including actress Julissa Bermudez, model Selita Ebanks, and others.
Though neither artist has confirmed the status of their relationship, the two accompanied each other for the Cabaret, which is an unforgettable show that delivers a one-of-a-kind, upscale experience infused with fine dining and world-class entertainment.
