  • Blaqbonez has alleged that he is a bigger artiste than his colleague, Asake.
  • The rapper made the claim in response to a fan’s assessment, buttressing the latter’s claim.

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has claimed that he is 50 times bigger than Grammy-nominated singer, Asake.

He made the claim while reacting to a resurfaced 2019 tweet from Asake, then an up-and-coming artist, asking him to follow back.

An X user with the handle @thejacobsss claimed that it’s hilarious to rank Asake higher than Blaqbonez, which the rapper reckoned, saying he’s a much bigger artist than Asake.

Asake is big, but saying he’s bigger than Blaqbonez is pure comedy walai,” the fan wrote.

Blaqbonez concurred: “Like people are funny. I’m 50x bigger. I sold out the O2 Arena in 1 minute; it took him longer.”

Contrary to Blaqbonez’s claim, he hasn’t sold out the 02 Arena, while Asake has sold out the venue twice.

In other news, Tobi Adegboyega, a Nigerian pastor at the centre of a £1.87 million (N4bn) fraud investigation, has lost his appeal to prevent deportation.

The cleric who is the cousin of Star Wars actor John Boyega, will be deported to Nigeria due to claims of financial impropriety at his church.

The church was previously shut down after failing to account for significant expenses and facing accusations of lack of transparency

Adegboyega has been living in the UK illegally since 2005, when he overstayed his visitor’s visa.

In 2019, he applied for leave to remain based on the ECHR’s right to family life. His application was first denied by a first-tier immigration tribunal, but he appealed.

In the tribunal, he said that no one had ever faced criminal charges for his church’s finances, that many of the attacks on him and his church were politically motivated, and that claims that it was a cult were false.
