Roiii’s Meteoric Rise Reflected In 2024 Spotify Wrapped

Taking to social media with a heartfelt post, he celebrated a year of “improvement, escalation, and inclination,” sharing his 2024 Spotify Wrapped stats alongside those from 2023. The numbers tell a powerful story of persistence, artistry, and an ever-growing connection with fans around the world.

Last year, Roiii captivated 115.4K listeners across 162 countries, amassing 468.9K streams and 20.3K hours of playback. While those numbers were impressive for any artist in the competitive hip-hop scene, 2024 saw him reaching entirely new heights.

This year, Roiii’s music was streamed 2.3 million times, a staggering fivefold increase, proving his growing resonance with audiences. His listener base surged to 337,000, with fans dedicating 102,000 hours to his work across 161 countries.

This phenomenal leap in engagement demonstrates not only his artistry but also his ability to connect deeply with fans worldwide. The post included a side-by-side comparison of his Spotify Wrapped stats, with a second slide showing last year’s figures—a subtle yet powerful reminder of how far he has come in just one year.

Following his departure from Skhanda World, Roiii has continued to make his mark in South African hip-hop. This year has been particularly successful for the renowned rapper, highlighted by the release of a joint album with Boity. The project showcased Roiii’s artistic growth and his ability to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry, solidifying his presence in the game.

Additionally, his efforts to refine his craft and explore new musical directions have paid off, resonating with both longtime listeners and new fans. The dip in the number of countries (161 from 162) compared to last year is negligible compared to the exponential growth in streams, listeners, and hours—a testament to his deeper penetration into core fanbases.
