Osas Ighodaro to co-produce Burna Boy’s debut film

  • Burna Boy is set to become the latest music star to join the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, with his debut movie production.
  • Actress Osas Ighodaro, one of the cast in the soon-to-be-released movie, shared exciting details, including the versatility of the languages spoken in it.

Nigerian actress Osas Ighodaro has revealed her role as a co-producer in the forthcoming film ‘3 Cold Dishes’, which marks Damini Ogulu alias Burna Boy’s production debut.

Osas Ighodaro shared her excitement about the project when she featured on the recent episode of In My Opinion podcast.

The movie star disclosed that the new project is an adventure film with three major languages.

In her words:

“It is an adventure film where we speak English, Yoruba, and French and we are going through English and French-speaking countries from Nigeria to Cote d’ivoire to Benin. I love it, it is directed by Asurf.”

“You have Wale Ojo in it, you have myself and some amazing actresses from Cote d’ivoire and I am also proud to be a producer on it. It is my first major, producing with Asurf who is the director and Burna Boy.”

Written by Tomi Adesina, ‘3 Cold Dishes’ follows three teenagers, victims of sex trafficking, who reunite thirteen years later to plot their revenge.

Burna Boy will debut as a producer in the upcoming thriller through Spaceship Films, a company he co-founded alongside Bose Ogulu, his mother.

Though Big Black Mac is the leading brain behind the project, the company would co-produce the film alongside Ifind, Alma Prods, Asurf Films, and Martian Network.

The movie boasts of star-studded casts such as Femi Jacobs, Wale Ojo, Ruby Akubueze, and Brutus Richards as well as some Ivorian and Senegalese actors.
