Eric Moulds, a former NFL star, has been accused of intentionally giving women STDs, a new lawsuit says. Law & Crime reports that the suit was filed on Monday (Dec. 10) by a New York woman, claiming that Moulds had been specifically targeting single mothers from WNY who were Buffalo Bills fans. The woman claims that Moulds had contacted her via IG, and their relationship had evolved into a “long-term romantic relationship” in 2023.

The woman stated that their relationship began after Moulds offered to train her, but instead, they found themselves becoming intimately entangled. Moulds flew her out on “an all-expenses paid trip” to see him in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the pair had sex in November 2023. However, Eric Moulds never disclosed to the woman that he had the herpes simplex virus Type 2, per the Miami Herald.

Jane Doe’s document claims that she found out about his condition through his fiancée of eight years, who contacted her in December 2023. Moulds’ fiancée, who is pregnant, recommended that she tested for STDs “because she, along with other women whom Moulds had relationships with, had been transmitted diseases by him.” Jane Doe allegedly got tested, and it was revealed that she, too, had contracted the herpes virus.

The discovery led Doe down a rabbit hole where she found out that other women sued the former NFL talent for “knowingly spreading herpes” to them more than a decade ago. All of these women were single mothers from WNY and fans of his former team, the Bills.

Mould’s lawyer Frank LoTempio III issued a statement to HuffPost regarding the lawsuit, insisting that they are aware of the allegations.

“We may be accepting service on his behalf,” the statement read. “We are in the process of gathering information and responding to the complaint, which we will vigorously defend. I will have more information and comments once the litigation process starts.”

Eric Moulds played for the Buffalo Bills from 1996-2005. E-Money then played with the Houston Texans and Tennesee Titans for one year each in 2006 and 2007, respectively. Moulds became one of the league’s most elite wideouts in the late 90s and the early oughts with 764 career receptions. Eric Moulds was selected to the three Pro Bowls in 1998, 2000, and 2002.
