  • In a recent tell-all interview, Verydarkman, the activist, spilled the tea on an explosive behind-the-scenes conversation he had with Naira Marley, shedding light on the tension that ultimately led to the late Mohbad’s tragic rift with the Marlian record label head.
  • Verydarkman dug deep into the genesis of the conflict, exposing shocking details about the rising friction between the two artists long before Mohbad’s untimely death

Controversial social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has dropped an earth-shattering bombshell in a video circulating on social media, just ahead of the 28th posthumous birthday of the late Mohbad.

In the video, he claims that embattled rapper Naira Marley confessed to him that he owed his former signee, Mohbad, a significant and undisclosed sum of money prior to the artist’s untimely death.

VeryDarkMan, known for his outspoken stance on the matter, revealed that he even offered Naira Marley a chance to clear his name and prove his innocence by utilizing his platform, but to his surprise, the rapper outright rejected the offer.

VeryDarkMan said:

I asked Naira Marley why he is not coming out to show the public his own evidence — the business side — because he clearly owed the boy [Mohbad] some money. He told me how much he owed the boy. It’s not a small amount of money.

“He told me how much he was supposed to give him and what caused their problem.

“He said their problem started when Mohbad began working outside the record label’s contract and requested to change the management the label provided for him. I then asked him to come out and explain to Nigerians what transpired between them, but he said God will fight his battles.”

The shocking revelation has sent shockwaves through the public, particularly as it adds a new, more sinister layer to the ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s tragic passing.

For those unfamiliar, Mohbad died under highly suspicious circumstances in September 2023, shortly after leaving Naira Marley’s Marlian Music, cited the label’s alleged failure to honor their contractual obligations.

This revelation had already ignited a firestorm of suspicion, with many questioning whether the label’s mistreatment of Mohbad had anything to do with his death.

The public’s eyes turned to Naira Marley and his close associate, Sam Larry, who were both implicated after footage surfaced of Sam Larry physically assaulting Mohbad in a confrontation that occurred prior to the singer’s death. The video sent social media into a frenzy, with fans calling for justice and accountability.

The duo was eventually arraigned and remanded in custody on October 6, 2023, over their alleged involvement in the events leading to Mohbad’s passing. However, they were granted bail after pleading not guilty to the charges.

Despite their not-guilty pleas, the situation has continued to spiral. Social media has erupted with backlash, with many fans refusing to support Naira Marley or his music.
