‘I prefer Nigerian men to Ghanaian men’ – Yvonne Okoro

Ghanaian-Nigerian actress Yvonne Okoro has shared her thoughts on her ideal romantic partner.

In an appearance on the Ghanaian TV Showbiz 360 with her colleague, Majid Michel, Yvonne Okoro expressed her preference for Nigerian men over Ghanaian men.

According to the actress, her preference is not only based on material gains but also on the romantic nature of Nigerian men.

She emphasized the importance of finding a partner who embodies both romance and generosity.

Yvonne Okoro clarified that while financial stability is a consideration, it is not the only factor in her decision.

Nigerian men or Ghanaian men? Nigerian men are better. I didn’t say Nigerian men because of money. That’s not the only thing. Money is there but love, affection is very important. Because if they give me money and there’s no love and they’re very disrespectful, I wouldn’t want that.

“I want the whole package. That’s my kind of man. I want everything.”

As a Ghanaian-Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro’s cultural background is diverse. Born in Tamale, Ghana, to a Nigerian father and Ghanaian mother.

In another news, Yvonne Okoro reveals how money from Nigeria funded her Ghanaian movies.

Speaking during an interview, on a Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM, the filmmaker and producer said she made a decent living while making films in Nigeria.

She stated that she did not spend much of the money she earned but saved it for her movies, adding that producing her movies has been rewarding.

She said:

There is money in film, I started in 2010, so I have been using the same money you know.

“I have made some decent money from Nigeria, so that money I didn’t touch it, it is for production.

“I have my production account so that is what I have been using to produce all these movies, and luckily for me, some of my past productions I got like placement money from companies to do placements and stuff..”
