Fans speculate Beyoncé’s delayed announcement was supposed to be tour plans after an automated message shared a potential show date.
According to Stereogum, notifications alerted Chicago-area users of the app Songkick, a platform for music discovery, of an upcoming show on Sept. 12, 2025, at Soldier Field. The messages were timed to when the 43-year-old was initially set to reveal big news to her listeners. A fan page dedicated to the singer’s acclaimed COWBOY CARTER album shared an alleged screenshot on social media, suspecting the notification was pre-scheduled with administrators of the app forgetting to turn it off after Beyoncé pushed back the official announcement.
The mysterious news promised by the Grammy winner was initially set to go live on Tuesday (Jan. 14). However, she delayed the grand reveal due to devastating wild fires in Los Angeles. With the delay, the global music icon did not reveal a new date for the announcement.

“The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles,” detailed a statement from the mother of three shared across social media. “I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.”
In the meantime, Mrs. Carter has used her platform to support recovery efforts in southern California financially. On Sunday, she revealed her BeyGood nonprofit organization plans a $2.5 million donation to aid families who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers in the Altadena/Pasadena area.
Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles is one of many who lost property due to the devastating wildfires. The 71-year-old took to social media last week to share a moving post dedicated to her “happy place” noting that the Malibu residence is now “gone.”
