Trevor Noah, who has hosted the Grammys for five consecutive years, attributed his uncertain future to Donald Trump’s reelection as President.

There’s been a few changes in Washington, so this may be the last time I get to host anything in this country,” he stated during his monologue.

The 2025 Grammy Awards, officially known as the 67th GRAMMY Awards, were broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount.

At the 67th Grammys, Nigerian singer, Tems beats Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and many others to win Best African Music Performance.

The 67th Grammys saw Nigerian artists dominating the Best African Music Performance category.

Tems took home the award courtesy of her hit track, ‘Love Me Jeje’, marking her second Grammy win.

The category, which was introduced in 2024 and won by South African singer Tyla, saw Nigerian artists featured in all the nominated songs.

Tems’ win was a significant achievement, as she beat out strong competition from other notable artists.

Yemi Alade’s “Tomorrow”, Asake’s “MMS” featuring Wizkid, Chris Brown’s “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay, and Burna Boy’s “Higher” were all nominated, but Tems’ performance stood out.

Be it as it may, only women have won the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category since its creation.

In 2023, Singer Tems won her first-ever Grammy award .

The Nigerian music star won the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category on Sunday night for her role in ‘Wait for U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

The 2023 Grammy Awards ceremony  was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
