Ty Dolla $ign is making it clear that he does not condone hate speech after his Vultures collaborator, Ye, went on an antisemitic rant via Twitter/X last week.
The west coast crooner took to his Instagram Stories to make the declaration early Wednesday (Feb. 12) morning, posting a meme that reads, “I do not condone ANY form of hate speech toward ANYBODY,” followed by five fist emojis of different “skin tones.” Check it out below.
While the “Motion” artist was sure to clarify his stance, he isn’t blatantly distancing himself from West, as the only post currently on his Instagram is one of himself with Ye and The Game captioned, “Wheels Fall Off.”
The Instagram Story post comes days after the artist formerly known as Kanye West went on an antisemitic rant via X/Twitter. West and Ty collaborated on Vultures, which dropped February 2024, and Vultures 2, which was released in August 2024.
Ye’s all-caps X rant began with him defending Sean “Diddy” Combs before laying into the Jewish community, writing, “F**K ALL OF YOUR F**K A** UNFAIR BUSINESS DEALS [ANY] JEWISH PERSON THAT DOES BUSINESS WITH ME NEEDS TO KNOW I DON’T LIKE OR TRUST ANY JEWISH PERSON.” He went on to praise Adolf Hitler and declare himself to be a “Nazi.” Ye also sold t-shirts that featured swastikas on his Yeezy website, removing all other merchandise after his Yeezy Super Bowl commercial aired.
The rant has resulted in Ye being dropped by his talent agency, in Shopify shutting down his online Yeezy store, and in the production of “F**K YE” shirts, with proceeds going toward the Backline nonprofit. The Chicago native also caught a lawsuit from a former employee who is Jewish, accusing Ye of firing her after allegedly calling her “ugly” and texting her “Hail Hitler.“
