She disclosed that she started out as a child chorister, a position she said impacted her music career immensely.

The singer said she started singing at the age of 10 and was a lead singer in the children’s choir of her local church.

She disclosed this in a recent chat with Amazing Jazzy.

Starr stated that her experience in the children’s choir helped shape her voice.

“I loved being in the choir. I was like the loudest child, it was the kids’ choir actually and everybody was little.

“It was the first time I discovered that I can I sing. It really helped me shape my voice and music,” she said.
