Leader of Germany’s CDU warns of last chance for centrist politics | Elections

The leader of Germany’s conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) said the far-right AfD’s ability to win over 20 percent support in parliamentary elections is the “last warning” for mainstream parties to govern better. The CDU and its partner, the Christian Social Union (SCU) finished first with 28.6 percent of the vote.
