Former NFL star Antonio Brown has gone viral — yet again — this time for his shady reply to the mother of his youngest son after she asked if he could help her out with rent money.
Brown, 36, shared the exchange on his X/Twitter page, captioning the screenshot of their texts, “They just be wanting me to see my sons, not raise em, using my son [as a] pawn for rent money.” The actual texts find Cydney Moreau addressing Brown as “babe” before giving him an update on his son and asking for assistance.
“Hi babe. I hope you are doing okay. Ace is doing good. I could really use some help with paying my rent this month. If you could help me, that would be very helpful.”
Brown harshly responded with, “F**k u bi**h, go suck d**k,” leading Moreau to counter with, “Ace lives under my roof. You have an obligation to help Antonio.” See the exchange below.
The move garnered mixed reactions, with many calling out Brown for his rude tone and choice of words. “I don’t care what happened between them but she’s the mother of his child. He doesn’t have to give her rent money but the disrespect in that text is next level. He’s a damn bum for that. This stuff lives forever on the internet and his son will see this one day. Sad,” wrote one observer within VIBE’s Facebook comment section, with another adding, “I can’t imagine having a child with a person who spoke to me that way. Like it doesn’t even compute.”
Others, however, took little issue with his approach and answer, saying that if he pays child support, he doesn’t have to help Moreau beyond just that.
“If she gets child support he is not obligated to do anything extra, if her job income and child support are not enough to support her and the child, why shouldn’t she reconsider her means,” questioned one supporter of Brown, with another adding, “If you can’t afford the rent, either move to a cheaper place or give up the child to the other parent so you can get your life together.”
Moreau is the fourth mother of Brown’s children, welcoming their son, Ace, July 2024. Ace is Brown’s 7th child, as he shares three sons and one daughter with Chelsie Kyriss, a son with ex-girlfriend Shameika Brailsford, and a daughter with a former partner, Wiltrice Jackson.
