You heard us correctly. Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak are reportedly an item. And, sources say, they have been working on their budding relationship for a couple of months now. The California singer is being described as being “smitten” by Carey and all in.
“Mariah and Anderson are dating; they met working last summer, and he has always been a huge fan and looked up to her,” a source close to the two artists told Us Weekly. “Their dates have been very far apart because of schedules, but it’s been going on a few months.”
The songbird reportedly “loves how musically inclined” .Paak is and thinks that the Grammy award-winning artist is “very sweet.” And it must be something special about Anderson because a source close to the Christmas Queen asserts that she “hasn’t seriously dated anyone in years [but Anderson] is the first person she has truly been interested in.” The two also “have a lot in common” and “bonded over parenthood and raising kids in today’s day and age.”
“He has really been keeping her attention, and they are full-on dating,” the inside source added. “Their relationship started in the studio as they were working on new music together, and it quickly turned romantic.”
Rumors of a romance first swirled after the duo were photographed in November 2024 at a Halloween party, that .Paak captured on Instagram.
“WE HAD A THRILLER NIGHT TO SAY THE LEAST! BIG SHOUTS TO EVERYBODY WHO CAME OUT TO @andys_weho FIRST EVER HALLOWEEN PARTY! IT WAS A STONE GROOOVE JACK!! SEE YAH NEXT YEAR,” .Paak captioned the post that happens to feature MC smiling at the artist adoringly.
The two were most recently spotted together at Los Angeles’ Birds Street Cafe on Sunday (Mar. 23). TMZ reports that the duo are working on music together, as well beginning a reported entanglement.
