Priddy Ugly Responds Gracefully To MacG’s ‘Cringe’ Comment On Bontle’s Pregnancy Reveal. Hip-hop artist Priddy Ugly and choreographer-actress Bontle Modiselle recently shook up the timeline with their cryptic and cheeky pregnancy announcement—a short skit blending wit, innuendo, and Black family joy. But not everyone found it touching.

Priddy Ugly Responds Gracefully To MacG’s ‘Cringe’ Comment On Bontle’s Pregnancy Reveal

Podcaster MacG shared his unfiltered thoughts, calling the viral clip “cringe,” sparking a deeper conversation around love, family, and what we choose to celebrate.

The video which initially left many fans laughing and others blushing, features Priddy Ugly seated in a car while Bontle stands outside, peering under the bonnet. What ensues is a double-entendre-laden exchange about a “dipstick” — a not-so-subtle metaphor for conception. Bontle pulls it out. Priddy says, “Sometimes it’s hard to pull out.” And then, their daughter Afrika makes a cameo: “Mom and daddy, what are you talking about?”

Cue the reveal: Bontle turns, proudly unveiling her baby bump.

While the video was embraced by many as creative, humorous, and full of personality, MacG didn’t hold back his thoughts on his popular podcast Podcast and Chill, dismissing the announcement as “cringe.” But Priddy Ugly wasn’t about to let that slide — especially when the message ran deeper than dipsticks and innuendo.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Priddy responded with grace and gravitas:

“In a time when global fertility and birth rates are declining, divorce rates are at an all-time high, and the Black Family structure is disadvantaged and under threat. Seeing a young Black Family grow and blossom, witnessing their relationship stand the test of time — especially in an era where many fail — should bring a little joy to your heart. If you can’t find beauty in that, look inward.
God be with you.”

His words transformed what could’ve been a petty exchange into a powerful reflection on love, resilience, and representation. In a society where commitment is often mocked and Black love rarely celebrated, Priddy reminded critics that there’s strength — and beauty — in what he and Bontle have built.

The couple, who’ve been together for over a decade, continue to be a beacon of enduring partnership in a world that often glorifies chaos over-commitment. Their video wasn’t just a pregnancy reveal; it was a layered metaphor about timing and responsibility.
