Wendy Williams is remaining in good spirits despite the ongoing legal battle to end her guardianship.
The veteran radio/talk show host was spotted dancing at Fresco by Scotto, a popular New York City restaurant on Friday night (April 11), while out with friends celebrating someone’s birthday.
According to Page Six, onlookers said Williams “walked into the restaurant with friends and family around 8 p.m. wearing a bright red coat [and] everyone’s head turned to check [her] out,” noting that she apparently “looked great!”
Another bystander recalled seeing Williams “jump” out her seat and start dancing with the patron celebrating his birthday as the crowd cheered, “Go Wendy! Go Wendy!’” Select footage from the evening shows Williams with the eatery’s co-owner Good Day New York anchor Rosanna Scotto, former Good Day New York reporter Baruch Shemtov, and Williams’ niece, Alex Finnie.
Williams recently retained the services of Joe Tacopina — who represented A$AP Rocky in his case against A$AP Relli — to help in the “convoluted” battle to end her guardianship. He told Page Six, “She wants her dignity back. She deserves it. She’s handling it all with class.”
Despite a judge declaring her career to be over during a hearing last week, Williams disagreed. In a phone call interview on The View, she spoke on her legacy and shared her thoughts on her court-appointed guardian.
“I’ve been doing important things all of my life, and these two people don’t look like me. They don’t talk like me. They don’t act like me. They will never be me. I need them to get off my neck,” said the 60-year-old.
