Kai Cenat enjoyed the 2025 Met Gala festivities without attending the actual ball. On Monday night (May 5), the streamer livestreamed his interactions with notable celebrities as he cruised through a star-studded afterparty following the fashion-forward event. His invite from Pharrell Williams secured him a meet-up with Future, with additional appearances from Caleb McLaughlin, Daniel Kaluuya, Babyface, Shenseea, Pusha T, Kim Kardashian, and more.
“Nice to meet you, gang, thank you so much,” expressed the 23-year-old to Williams with a handshake. “That’s a good jacket right there,” complimented Cenat to the Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director, who had switched from his red carpet pearl blazer to a burgundy, reptile skin garment.
“Is it crazy if I scream ‘Pluto‘ right now?” asked Cenat as he attempted to get a moment with Future later in the stream. His wish was granted when the Atlanta rapper walked up with a welcoming dap. While the two were able to chat, the “Mask Off” performer’s team opted for Kai Cenat’s cameras to be pointed downward during their interaction.
While the Brooklyn native seemingly enjoyed his experience at the after-hours affair, he did not attend the official Met Ball. Speaking to his followers on a livestream, the internet personality claimed to have turned down an invitation to the exclusive event.
“I had an opportunity to go to the Met Gala, chat, but I didn’t go because I’m not gonna lie, the brand that wanted to host me… I didn’t really, like, wanna do that brand,” he shared without revealing the designer in a clip shared by Drip to social media. He also detailed how he secured his afterparty invite.
The 2025 Met Gala was cochaired by Williams, as well as Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, and A$AP Rocky, with LeBron James filling the honorary seat. Guests operated under the theme, “Tailored For You” and paid homage to Black dandyism. Take a look at the dapper red carpet here.
