Fourteen years and seven children later, it appears that all’s well that ends well when it comes to Ciara, Rihanna, and their notorious Twitter beef.
The women reunited at the 2025 Met Gala and sent the internet in a frenzy after snapping a photo together with both of them cheesing hard as Ciara cradled Rih’s baby bump. The latter revealed that she was pregnant with her third child hours before walking the carpet.
Back in February 2011, the singers got into a heated exchange on Twitter after Ciara told Joan Rivers that Rihanna wasn’t “the nicest” to her at a party. Rih fired back on social media, “My bad ci, did i 4get to tip u?” After the Anti singer shaded Cici, the latter replied, “Trust me Rihanna u don’t want to see me on or off the stage.”
To which the Rih infamously quipped, “Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.”
Fans gushed over the surprise reunion… and cracked a few jokes.
“Lowkey i could never pose in a pic with someone who told me ‘good luck bookin that stage you speak of’ on the world wide web,” one person teased. Another commented, “OH? This is a moment in pop culture, I thought I would never see happen, but here we are, thankfully!”
Someone else joked, “Pregnancies healed their hearts.”
The women also posed with their respective partners, Russell Wilson and A$AP Rocky, while fans poked fun at them being the most fertile couples in Hollywood.
Prior to the linkup, Rihanna confirmed rumors that she was expecting her third child with Rocky. The doting pair share two sons: RZA and Riot. They have not revealed the gender of their new baby, but the Navy members are hoping it’s a girl.
In April 2024, the singer shared that she had plans to try for more children, specifically a daughter. “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl,” she shared with Interview. Rocky also basked in delight about what it’s like to have Rih as the mother of his children.
“I think we do a real great job at collaborating, making children. I think that’s our best creation so far. Nothing’s better than that out there, any design,” said the rapper.
Meanwhile, Rih is just happy to not have to hide her pregnancy any longer.
