Notable attendees included Nigerian singer Tems, who donned a powerful ensemble by Ozwald Boateng, paying homage to Black sartorial excellence. Burna Boy also collaborated with Boateng, wearing a regal red wool tuxedo paired with an oxblood eelskin cape, symbolising Nigerian heritage . Actress Ayo Edebiri honored her father’s style with a leather tailcoat and white shirtdress designed by Maximilian Davis for Ferragamo . Lupita Nyong’o returned to the Met Gala in a pastel green power suit, complete with a sheer cape and bedazzled eyebrows, embodying the event’s theme.
