STARZ is bringing the heat this summer with the highly anticipated fourth season of BMF, set to premiere this June.

In an all-new teaser, notorious drug pusher Lamar (Eric Kofi Abrefa) makes a surprising return after forcibly being turned on to crack cocaine in season two by Big Meech (Demetrius Flenory Jr.). He was last seen zoned out on a couch, which left viewers with a cliffhanger — unsure if he’d gone on to succumb to a new life of drug addiction or if he had fatally overdosed.

The burning question fans have been asking: “What happened to Lamar?” has now been answered.

Clearly in a rehab program, a cleaned-up Lamar appears amongst a group of reformed drug users where he approaches a group leader in the clip. “If you put in as much work out there as you did in this program for the last three months, there is no telling where you can go,” the woman encourages him. Taking his hand in hers, she adds, “I’m proud of you.”

“Thank you,” he shakily responds before hesitantly turning to the group to add, “I’ve been addicted to a lot of stuff in my life. Women, money, power, revenge — that revenge sh*t, that’s what really brought me to my knees — led me to lose everything and everyone I’ve ever loved.”

He continues, “And then uh, good ol’ crack became a new addiction, knowing it was a tool of destruction used against me, but I beat my addiction before my addiction could beat me. Ain’t nothing ever gonna beat me … never again.” See below.

Coming off a successful third season that pulled in nearly 10,000,000 multiplatform viewers, the stakes for this season are higher than ever before. The new season teases Meech and Terry (Da’Vinchi) dodging death in Mexico, while also getting caught up in a whirlwind of danger in the States. It also shows the beginnings of BMF entering the music industry with its own label, as well as the return of B. Mickie, Lamar and Markisha (La La Anthony) taking her place as Terry’s business partner.

On the family side, Meech and Terry’s mother Lucille (Michelle Briana White) and father Charles (Russell Hornsby) can be seen grappling with the emotional and financial fallout of their divorce — all while trying to guide their youngest, Nicole (Laila D. Pruitt), through life’s next milestones.

Detective Bryant (Steve Harris), meanwhile, is still dealing with the unfortunate suicide of his son, and is “more relentless than ever” in his mission to bring down BMF.

Inspired by the true story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory — two brothers who built one of America’s most notorious crime enterprises — season four shows their fight to keep their American Dream alive as their brotherhood continues to be tested.

New episodes will drop every Friday on STARZ and all its streaming platforms at 9:00 PM ET beginning June 6. Check out the season four trailer below.
