Pusha T has always had an affinity for Kendrick Lamar, especially given his rap beef victory over Drake last year. The 48-year-old rapper was spotted living it up at a recent stop on the Grand National tour.
This past Monday (May 12), K. Dot and SZA took a trip to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. King Push was caught on camera nodding along while the Compton rapper performed “Reincarnated” from his November 2024 album GNX.
The Clipse member’s appearance caused many people to question if he and the Pulitzer Prize winner worked on any music around the time of the show. Earlier this week, a rumor circulated the internet that Lamar would be featured on Push’s forthcoming album. The Daytona artist stated last year that he was waiting on one more guest verse before he could share the album with the world; given their mutual respect plus shared disdain for Drake, many believe that Dot was who he was talking about.
Pusha T gave Kendrick Lamar major flowers for his strategy during the battle with Drake. “Incredible display of battle raps,” he told Vulture. “Listen man, Kendrick […] the truth really hurts, and the truth cuts deep. And I think what Kendrick was doing was talking to his soul. I believe that, and I believe that would cause you to tap out. That’ll cause you to sue. That’ll cause you to do a lot of things.”
Push’s name came up on Lamar’s “Euphoria,” a reference to the 6 God bowing out of their battle in 2018. “F**k all that pushin’ P, let me see you push a T,” the GNX artist rapped. The duo previously collaborated on “Nosetalgia” from Push’s 2013 album My Name Is My Name, so a new joint song would be very welcome by the rap fans and those still enjoying the fallout of last year’s rap beef.
