Cassie Ventura and former security guard Isreal Florez have taken the stand during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking trial, and the witness list is expected to include more crucial names. Aubrey O’Dday is reportedly set to give her testimony during the heated trial, and “she’s ready” to tell her perspective on what happened during those years.

The former Danity Kane member was subpoenaed by the government and has traveled to New York City. The latter was confirmed on her Instagram story Wednesday (May 14) as she posted a photo with the NYC location tagged. “It’s nerve-wracking, but she’s ready. She’s not going to back down. She wants justice for everyone,” a source told US Weekly. The insider also hinted that O’Day has a project in the works that will be about the Diddy trial.

The singer and Bad Boy founder met while she was a contestant on MTV’s Making the Band 3 in 2005. O’Day became a member of the aforementioned girl group, Danity Kane, and went on to achieve commercial success alongside the four other members.

However, she began to be increasingly more outspoken about Diddy’s alleged abusive behavior as the years went on, being one of the most consistent people accusing him of not paying artists and becoming violent towards others. She has also spoken about how her career has shifted tremendously as a result of speaking out about her former mentor.

In 2023, she spoke about her and many others in the entertainment industry having to remain silent about their experiences due to legal stipulations.

“I have to release him for any claims or wrongdoings or actions prior to the date of the release,” detailed O’Day. “I have to sign an NDA that I will never disparage Puff, Bad Boy, Janice Combs, Justin Combs Music, EMI, or Sony ever in public… This is the honest-to-God agreement of what I’m being offered: a few hundred dollars to sign away my rights to ever tell the story of what I went through ever again.”

While many fans supported O’Day when she spoke out, a majority of people did not believe her claims. When the news about Diddy’s arrest broke, the “Show Stopper” singer shared how she finally felt vindicated. “The purpose of Justice is to provide an ending and allow us the space to create a new chapter. Women never get this. I feel validated. Today is a win for women all over the world, not just me,” she typed at the time on social media.

Diddy is currently facing one count of racketeering conspiracy; two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was arrested in NYC on Sept. 16, 2024, and was held at MDC Brooklyn without bail. Prosecutors’ opening remarks allege the media mogul used his money, power, and fame to facilitate two decades of sexually abusive “freak-offs” with countless victims. The defense plans to argue that Diddy’s sexual partners participated during these events willingly. Diddy has consistently and vehemently denied the allegations against him.
