This Juneteenth, all of Jersey City, N.J., and surrounding areas are about to be outside in the best way possible — with The All About Us Festival.

This year’s event will be headlined by R&B heartthrob Mario and Hip-Hop vet Jadakiss with additional performances by house music icons and more. The Baltimore native will be bringing the live vocals — mic on and all — as he sings some of his biggest hits including “Let Me Love You,” “Just A Friend,” and others. The Yonkers-bred MC will bring the bars with performances of expected popular tracks like “Why” and “Knock Yourself Out.”

The grass is surely to be filled with two-stepping when Robin S and Kenny Bobien hit the stage with House-favorites such as “Show Me Love,” “You Are My Friend,” and more.

Returning to Liberty State Park for its third year, All About Us is delivering more than just a concert — it’s a one-day, multi-sensory celebration rooted in music, food, and community — all in honor of Black culture and history. “From the moment you walk in, it’s going to feel like joy,” stated Shannon Mitchell, one of the festival’s organizers. “We created this space to remind us of what freedom really looks like — being together, being seen, and celebrating everything we are. Black history is American history, and this day is for all of us.”

“What makes this festival special is the love in every detail,” added Sonia Mitchell, another organizer. “You’ll see toddlers two-stepping with their grandparents and best friends linking arms at golden hour. It’s multi-generational, it’s soulful, and it feels like us.”

This year’s festival will also feature surprise musical guests, a Black-owned marketplace showcasing fashion, beauty, art, and more, plus kid zones for the little ones. Additionally, there will be live art installations, wellness activations, and enough food trucks with something for everyone.

Ticket-buyers can mark June 19 on their calendar, dust off their biggest picnic blanket, and rally up their whole crew, because All About Festival is sure to be more than an event, but a love letter to Black joy and pride.
