CeeLo Green rang in his 50th birthday in style, celebrating the milestone with a vibrant, star-studded bash that doubled as a heartfelt tribute to his lasting impact on Atlanta and the music world at large.
Powered by Primary Wave Music, the celebration was held at the elegant Flourish venue in Atlanta and brought together an elite mix of entertainers, city officials, and longtime collaborators to honor the soul icon.
Music royalty Morris Day, rap star Jeezy, producer Dallas Austin, media figure Big Tigger, and DJs White Shadow and Incrediboi kept the energy high, while Goodie Mob brothers Big Gipp, Khujo, and T-Mo showed love to their fellow Dungeon Family legend.
The evening took a sentimental turn as CeeLo was serenaded by the marching band of Benjamin E. Mays High School, his alma mater, and received a diploma from Erika Mitchell, President of the Atlanta Board of Education.
Mayor Andre Dickens presented CeeLo with a certificate of recognition, while City Council member Marci Collier Overstreet and CeeLo’s former high school principal joined in the applause.
Performances by Adi Oasis, Morris Day & The Time, JT Money, and T-Mo electrified the crowd, with Dallas Austin acting as music director for the night.
With friends, family, and the city of Atlanta showing love, CeeLo’s 50th was a joyous, unforgettable night of celebration and well-deserved recognition.
