Antonio Brown is wanted for attempted murder after allegedly firing two shots after a physical altercation in May. According to CBS News, the former NFL player was seen in security footage and cell phone video punching a man, taking a gun from a security officer, and firing as he chased his target. The victim was allegedly grazed by a bullet in the neck.
During the night of the incident, which occured last month in Miami at a celebrity boxing event, no arrests were made. Per CBS, Brown’s arrest warrant demanded a $10,000 bond and that he remain under house arrest, if arrested.
According to TMZ, Zül-Qarnaįn claimed to have been one of the men involved in a physical altercation with Brown, and said the 36-year-old unloaded the firearm in the presence of children. The alleged shooting of the unnamed victim is reportedly what resulted in the arrest warrant.
Last month, PEOPLE Magazine detailed that Brown was “temporarily detained” but not arrested following the chaos at the boxing event hosted by Adin Ross. According to the outlet, Brown claimed he was “jumped” in an attempted robbery. At the time, the Miami Police Department received a report of gunfire.
In multiple clips that circulated across social media, Brown is seen fighting, and gunshots are heard; however, it is not clearly shown who pulled the trigger.
“I got CTE, I blacked out,” shared Brown after the event while on stream with Ross, per PEOPLE. “I blacked out, Adin. I don’t know what happened.”
He continued to elaborate in a lengthy post on X, “Regarding the boxing event that happened last night. I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me. Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me.”
The statement explained, “I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED. I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me. I will keep you all posted step-by-step on the process. Thank you for the support and love.”
