A$AP Rocky Attempts To Silence Witness On Stand: “Don’t Say!”

A$AP Rocky is trying his hardest to preserve his brand’s secrecy—even if it means silencing a witness on the stand. On Friday (Feb. 7), A$AP Twelvyy took the witness stand where he was questioned about the meaning of AWGE, Rocky’s creative agency and record label.

Twelvyy expertly avoided answering the question, saying, “I just know it’s AWGE… I don’t know, I could have my own way but [I don’t know for sure.]” As the A$AP Mob associate offered his remarks, the fashion-forward musician then shouted from the defense table, saying, “Don’t say it!”

As per the official AWGE website, the creative agency has only two rules: “1) Never reveal what AWGE means. 2) When in doubt always refer to rule #1.”

So, it should be no shock that when the judge asked Twelvvy, né Jamel Da’Shawn Phillips, whether or not he heard the Don’t Be Dumb artist’s demand, he stated, “I heard something. I’m not too sure what I heard. I was listening to you.”

As for the rest of Phillips’ testimony, the A$AP Worldwide artist insisted that it was A$AP Relli who was the aggressor in the November 2021 Hollywood shooting and asserted that Rocky was carrying a prop gun.

This isn’t the first time A$AP Rocky has spoken out during his trial. In late January, tempers began flaring in the courtroom as Relli testified. Joe Tacopina, Rocky’s attorney, got into a back-and-forth with Relli as he showed evidence that found the lawyer and the former A$AP associate saying the N-word.

Rocky spoke out during the heated argument, demanding that the word be banned from the trial. Judge Arnold declared, “If there’s an exhibit or any recording that has the n-word, I want you to say ‘n-word.’”
