Adidas Removes Yeezy Products From Website Following Kanye West’s Rant

Kanye West made a fiery request, and it was granted.

Adidas has removed all Yeezy products from its website following the 47-year-old artist’s lengthy Instagram rant. The company acted quickly and was very thorough in removing any mention of West or his products from their website, including news articles and any pages that could populate via an image search. While this may seem fully reactionary to Ye’s rant, Adidas did previously announce that 2025 would mark the complete severing of all ties they had to the controversial fashion designer.

“There [aren’t] any more open issues,” Adidas chief executive Bjorn Gulden said in an October 2024 press conference. “And there is no money going either way. There were tensions on many issues [but] both parties said we don’t need to fight any more… [It] belongs in the past.” There, he expressed the plan to sell off all Yeezy stocks by the end of 2024; clearly, they followed through on that.

Nonetheless, the timing of this coming just a day after West’s rant is noteworthy. “Members at adidas Stop doing this Stop doing your moves to hold me back,” he wrote on Instagram, showing a screenshot of a Google search. When searching “Yeezy,” the Adidas website popped up before his independent YZY site. “Our partnership is done You’re a 60 billion dollar company that froze my accounts Now I’m back on my feet (no pun intended) and I’m not going to stand for this (no pun again).”

Adidas ended their partnership with Ye after his several anti-semitic remarks in 2022, but the Vultures 2 artist cited their differences that preceded his controversy. “Yall tried to intimidate and oppress me everyone remembers I had major issues with adidas because of design theft and oppression before ‘the tweet,’” he wrote.

He also took issue with Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear Of God company partnering with Adidas. “Side note yall know Jerry was corny and disloyal for doing work with adidas after the way they handled things,” he added. “I still showed up to his show that was a copy of my Hollywood bowl show being the so called bigger man but I’m never doing that again for no one It’s Yeezy over everything.” Check out the full rant below.
