Antonio Brown questioned LeBron James‘ reaction, or lack thereof, to Kevin Gates attending a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game after he made comments about the NBA player’s wife, Savannah James.
On X, Brown pondered, “Did LeBron confront him like he did with Stephen A?” adding his #CTESPN tag to the end of the post. The original post featured the Baton Rouge rapper and current partner, Brittany Renner, courtside watching James and the Lakers in the NBA playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday (April 22).
In his commentary, Brown made a reference to a heated argument LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith had last month. James claimed the verbal interaction was in defense of his family, not the critique Smith gave on his or anyone else’s athletic performance.

Earlier this month, the “Big Gangsta” rapper explained his feelings on how Savannah James allegedly behaves around LeBron on Instagram Live. Gates compared how she “looks” at her husband versus how “white women” supposedly react to him and his belief that white women who come to Lakers games are “d*cked out” by his presence, while Savannah acts like a “jail warden.”
Indirectly, the Akron-bred couple responded to the 39-year-old from their own social media accounts.
Savannah James took to her Instagram Story with a clip of Nicki Minaj exclaimed, “What? Um—chile, anyways, so.”
“Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants,” shared the NBA star earlier this week, uploading a photo of himself and Mrs. James. “Where to next Queen?!?! Let’s get it!”
