Waka Flocka checks Brandon over dinner, too.
The trailer for next season’s Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta has been released, and it looks like WEtv is gearing up for a heated run. This season will be the debut for R. Kelly’s ex-wife Drea Kelly along with his daughter Joann Kelly (who goes by the stage name Buku Abi). In the teaser, Abi tells her mother that the scandal surrounding her father “is going to affect me forever.” Drea does her best to be there for her daughter, letting her know that “I don’t know what it’s like to be R. Kelly’s child. I only know what it’s like to be his ex-wife.” In another clip, she says, “As soon as I get a level of normalcy, it’s some headline,” before R. Kelly’s mugshot is flashed across the screen.
Bow Wow has his own set of problems and viewers will finally gain more insight as to what really went down during that violent altercation between the rapper and his ex-girlfriend Kiyomi Leslie. In the trailer, Da Brat tells Bow that the two are toxic for each other. There’s also a clip of Leslie’s 911 call where she tells dispatchers that Bow physically assaulted her. There will additionally be a scene where the rapper shows his mother his bodily injuries from the fight, including a large bruise bite mark with teeth imprints where his skin was broken.

Waka Flocka promises his wife Tammy Rivera that he’s retired from rap and she tells him if he goes to the studio it’ll be as if he’s cheating on her. The trailer ends with a dinner table confrontation between Waka and Brandon, Deb’s “adopted” son, who throughout the past seasons has been accused of talking reckless about members of the family.
