Although Aubrey O’Day has opted out of taking the stand in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial, she’s offered her opinion on Diddy’s children supporting him in-person in court.
During a recent episode of the Amy & T.J. podcast, the former Danity Kane member gave her unfiltered take on Diddy’s children being present in court, particularly his teenage daughters, Chance, D’Lila, and Jessie. Their attendance, she says, is less about family support and more about painting a sympathetic picture for the jury.
“The kids are marching up to that court, praying over everything and walking in with a bunch of women also that are encouraging it,” she said before later adding, “It’s concerning to me. Would you want your kids to know the freakiest night you’ve ever had? Because that’s what this trial is putting on full display.”
The singer and reality star also pointed out that Diddy’s daughters are just a year younger than Cassie Ventura was when he first started dating her, adding more to the discomfort she feels watching them sit through this ordeal.
“It’s telling to me. It means that daddy’s being selfish and, in my opinion, it feels like ‘daddy needs you in court because daddy needs all the optics to look in his favor, and I don’t really care what you have to sit through,’” she continued. “And that, to me, is just showing that same narcissism and ego and dare I say coercion that we’re discussing about this man. You know, his needs come first. What he wants comes first.”
According to People, at one point during trial, the daughters left the courtroom twice while a sex worker gave a graphic testimony about Diddy enjoying watching sexual encounters involving urination and masturbation. Despite the intensity of the proceedings, Diddy’s sons Christian and Justin reportedly remained in the courtroom. His youngest, 2-year-old Love with Dana Tran, was not present.
Aside from the stress of the trial, D’Lila Star and Jessie James Combs attended their senior prom over the weekend (May 17) where they both donned matching red gowns that draped off their shoulders. The twins were all smiles in photos with their dates, who both had to carry the girls down a flight of stairs due to their body-hugging dresses. See below.
