Nollywood actor and comedian Ayo Makun recently paid a visit to Delta State Governor, Sheriff Orohwedor Oborevwori to endorse his new project, “The Waiter”.

The movie, which will be released in cinemas nationwide on December 20, 2024, has already generated buzz online

Ayo Makun took to Instagram to share photos of his visit alongside Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe Damijo, expressing his gratitude and honor at the opportunity to meet with the Governor.

He also revealed that the movie’s protagonist, Akpos, has made history by entering the Guinness World Records.

AY expressed excitement to represent Delta State to share this exciting story with the world.

He wrote:

Honoured to pay a courtesy visit to His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, to officially endorse The Waiter movie, showing in cinemas nationwide from December 20th!
It’s a special moment as we celebrate the incredible journey of Akpos, a character that has not only captured hearts but also made history by entering the Guinness World Records. Proud to represent Delta State and share this exciting story with the world alongside @mofedamijo, who has consistently supported my brand growth”.

AY Makun has earlier shared photo reflecting on humble beginnings.

AY shared an image on his Instagram page, depicting a woman carrying a young child and a bucket on her head, with the child barefoot.

This evocative photo resonated deeply with AY, as it reminded him of his own modest beginnings.

In his caption, AY confessed that he had looked at the image multiple times, and would continue to do so, as it stirred memories of his own journey.

He wrote, “I have watched this picture several times and I will watch it again and again because anytime I see a child without shoes, I remember my humble beginning 😥. We all have our beginnings, don’t we? Let me just go and get ready for AY Live in Maryland on July 4th and Houston on July 6th”.
