Former President Barack Obama has shared a heartfelt message of support for former President Joe Biden following the announcement of Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis.
In a social media post, Obama expressed solidarity with the Biden family during this challenging time. “Michelle and I are thinking of the entire Biden family,” Obama wrote.
“Nobody has done more to find breakthrough treatments for cancer in all its forms than Joe, and I am certain he will fight this challenge with his trademark resolve and grace. We pray for a fast and full recovery.”

The White House confirmed that President Biden was diagnosed with prostate cancer after undergoing medical evaluation for worsening urinary symptoms.
“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the official statement read.
“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The president and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

The diagnosis underscores a difficult personal moment for Biden, who has been a public advocate for cancer research, especially after the death of his son Beau Biden from brain cancer in 2015.
With a deep personal history in the fight against cancer, President Biden now faces his own battle—one that, according to Obama and many others, he is uniquely prepared to face with determination and dignity.
