Cash Money is one of the most prominent and successful labels in Hip-Hop history, largely due to boasting talents such as Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj. Birdman recently revealed how much money his three superstar signees brought into the building by themselves.

The “Pop Bottles” rapper joined Nick Cannon on Cannon’s Class last week and dove into the contracts, structures, and revenue that made up his legendary label. At one point, when discussing the 6 God, he revealed that he ensured the Toronto superstar was paid whatever he wanted, and he held off on paying anyone else in his crew, including himself.

“Nobody got money from Drake for 10 years, so the money just piled up,” the 56-year-old executive said. “With all the sh*t going on, I refused to — I could’ve got my money, but I didn’t want to get my money cause that wouldn’t have looked right if I got mine’s and they ain’t got theirs. So f**k it, we gon’ let it pile up.” He claimed that as long as his artist was properly compensated, he was okay with the money accumulating in escrow until it was time for everyone to be paid out. He followed that same operation with Minaj.

The conversation eventually got to where Birdman had to let Nick Cannon know just how much money he was dealing with thanks to the efforts of Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne. “Honestly, on Gladys, I done [made] $2 billion between Drake, Nicki, and f**kin’ Wayne solid,” he said emphatically. “Two plus billions dollars. These people done made hundreds of millions of dollars with me, my ni**a. Guaranteed.” Cannon asked if any other artist has ever made that kind of money, and Birdman proudly said, “None of them.”

Though his complicated history with Weezy F Baby is widely known, Stunna has previously expressed how he made sure to take care of his artists whenever he secured a bag. “When Universal gave me a bag, brother, I could honestly say I gave Wayne about $400 to $500 million, Drake got about $500 million, and Nicki got about $300, $400 million out of my pocket,” he said on the Big Facts Podcast in 2021. “No cap. If you don’t believe [me], ask ’em.”

Wayne signed to Cash Money in 1997, releasing several projects up through his departure in 2018. Drake and Nicki both signed to Cash Money in 2009 and, similar to Tunechi, dropped their final projects on the label in 2018. In 2021, the trio reunited for the track “Seeing Green,” which was a fitting title given their personal success and what they did for Cash Money. Listen below.
