Cardi B Lands Her Own Fashion And Beauty Brands Via Revolve

Cardi B is making money moves!

After working with the likes of Fashion Nova, Reebok, Skims, Marc Jacobs, and more, the Grammy-winning rapper announced on Tuesday (April 1) that she has a new joint venture with Revolve Group.

WWD reported that the partnership will include the launch of her debut apparel and beauty lines and also marks Revolve’s expansion into the beauty sector.

“People have been expecting both from me. My beauty line, people have been expecting that, like an album,” Cardi B teased to the outlet. “When something is so expected, people want it to be the best, or, they want it to be the worst so they can be like, ‘Haha you don’t know about sh*t b***h!’ People expect the best from both fields. We have to come in strong.”

Her creative partners include her longtime manager Patientce Foster, and her longtime stylist Kollin Carter. Bardi quipped that they “do things out of spite” because “to be better than everybody when you do it out of spite is very motivating” while noting that her brands will “stay true to her authenticity.”

Foster added, “It’s literally reflecting and translating what we built in terms of Cardi B the brand, the artist, and taking that same synergy and putting that into this. I think some people think that you have to remove your most authentic self to raise your profile, but I think what we’ve been able to do so great is embrace her most authentic self and evolve that without changing who she is at her core. That’s what we’re trying to build in both categories.”

Cardi credited Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and Beyoncé for serving as inspiration to build a legacy to leave for her three children.

“It doesn’t suffice how many number-one [hits] I have, or how big my name is. I mean, I am a legend, but if God forbid something happens to me, I don’t want my kids to be fighting with record labels on how much percent they’re going to get with my music,” she explained.

She didn’t share when exactly the apparel and beauty lines will be ready for the public, but did wear a dress from the collection (see above) when she announced her latest business venture.
