Chlöe Bailey and Burna Boy sent the internet into overdrive after cozying up during a second night out in Lagos, Nigeria, on Monday (Dec. 16). The two stars were spotted looking very much like a couple, with flirty interactions and undeniable chemistry—fueling speculation of a budding romance.
The speculations began after the pair pulled up to a venue in Burna’s purple Lamborghini Aventador the night prior. The newest footage shows the duo beaming at each other, Bailey kneeling between his legs to whisper in his ear, and the two even sharing some embraces.
Adding to the rumors, Chlöe also sported Burna’s “ODG” chain and pendant—a piece reportedly worth an estimated $1,000,000.
While neither Chlöe nor Burna Boy have confirmed if they have a romance or not, a blast from Burna Boy’s past resurfaced in the midst.
A video from 2023 made waves online, showing rapper Stefflon Don receiving a Rolls Royce Cullinan for her birthday—a luxurious gift many have now attributed to Burna Boy. As Steff did show off the lavish gift on her birthday last year, she didn’t reveal who bought it for her.
Coincidentally, everyone has learned that it was the “Last Last” artist being generous with his wealth. Fans have accused the British rapper of trying to “steal” the spotlight from Bailey by “leaking” the extravagant gesture.
Chlöe, 26, touched down in Burna Boy, né Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu’s, homeland on Sunday (Dec. 15), where she was given a huge bouquet of flowers upon arrival. While entering a luxury convoy awaiting her, a bystander could be heard dubbing Bailey an Odogwu’s “wife.”
According to X, “Odogwu” is a prestigious Igbo title given to “leader” or “strong man.” It’s also a moniker that Burna Boy has proudly embraced for himself.
Later in the day, more footage surfaced of her being treated to another massive bouquet of all red roses, and hitting the night scene with the 33-year-old Afrobeat icon.
As some were happy to see what could become of the two stars, others began throwing shots.
“Bagged her, took her back to Africa! thats tuffffff,” said one person, as another quipped, “Lmaooo I didn’t see this coming. I hope Chlöe Bailey knows how to rap in Patois because Steff is writing her verse as we speak.”
