After being arrested in the UK last week in connection to a 2023 nightclub altercation, Chris Brown posted a staggering $6,700,000 bail, regained his freedom, and hopped online to let the world know he’s not defeated.

“From the cage to the stage. Breezy bowl” he wrote on his Instagram Story today (May 21) following release.

He also let it be known that his upcoming 25th anniversary tour with Jhené Aiko, Bryson Tiller and Summer Walker will still kick off June 8 in Amsterdam before concluding in the U.S. on October 18 in Memphis, TN.

The 36-year-old entertainer was taken into custody at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester in the early hours of May 15. According to the Metropolitan Police, the arrest stems from a February 2023 incident in Hanover Square, London, where Brown is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a music producer.

The alleged victim, Abe Diaw, claims the singer threw a tequila bottle at him in a club, chased him, and then stomped on his head while he was down — leaving him unconscious.

Before Brown dropped the hefty bail, fans and critics alike were speculating that he might have to cancel or delay the start of his Breezy Bowl tour. Given that he was previously denied bail, the future of the tour seemed uncertain. However, the British Press Association reported that a judge granted the bail with strict conditions: if he doesn’t show up for his next court date or violates the terms, that multi-million dollar bond is void.

Brown’s next court date is locked in for June 20, strategically wedged between performances in Cardiff and London. Judge Tony Baumgartner also ordered Brown to surrender his passport unless it’s needed for tour-related travel.

The father-of-three hasn’t been required to enter a plea just yet. So in the meantime, Breezy is free to perform — but he’s expected to play by all the rules set by Judge Baumgartner’s jurisdiction.
