Veteran movie actor Dele Odule has addressed false rumours circulating on social media about his death and alleged arrest due to his involvement in a child molestation case.

In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, February 18 Dele Odule claimed a blogger identified as Ope Ajiboye falsely shared that the actor was dead.

He added that the blogger posted a picture of the veteran actor alongside the word “RIP” in a baseless story. Addressing the issue, Dele Odule said:

“There’s nothing wrong with me, I am very much alive.

“I don’t understand why someone would wish me dead. This is barbaric, uncalled for, and not fair.”

The 63 year old actor also took aim at another false report that suggested he had been arrested for child molestation, featuring an image of him in handcuffs. Dele Odule added:

“For what? What is your problem? Are you alright? Don’t try to bring me down.

“If you come at me, you’re coming at God because you are not fighting me but God.”

Dele Odule expressed his gratitude to fans who have shown support, saying:

“I love you to bits. Thank you for being there always and for your concern about my well-being. I really appreciate it. God bless you.”

Fellow stars like Jaiye Kuti, Niyi Johnson, Okunnu, Kunle Afod, Femi Branch and Opeyemi Aiyeola have rallied behind the actor, reassuring him that nothing harmful will happen.
