DJ Venom Announces ‘Skuta Baba Remix Pitori Edition.’ DJ Venom gears up to unleash the highly anticipated Skuta Baba Remix Pitori Edition this Friday. Promising to set the scene ablaze, this latest iteration of the South African anthem is primed to take the culture by storm, featuring a heavyweight lineup of Pretoria’s finest: 25K, Monchen, GTech, 2Bit, and Loatinover Pounds.

DJ Venom Announces ‘Skuta Baba Remix Pitori Edition’

Following the explosive success of Woodblock DJs’ earlier Skuta Baba Remix—which brought together lyrical titans Cassper Nyovest, Kwesta, Buzzi Lee, Tony Dayimane, and Kane Keid—DJ Venom is stepping up to rep the Pitori flavour.

That star-studded version, released late last year, became an instant hit, racking up over a million streams on Spotify and dominating airwaves with its infectious hooks and high-octane verses. Now, Venom’s Pitori Edition is poised to carve its own legacy, blending the raw energy of Pretoria’s underground with the polished swagger of its rap stars.

Taking to social media, DJ Venom announced that the Skuta Baba Pitori Edition is coming out on Friday. “Big Story this Friday! The Hip Hop way……Skuta Baba Remix Pitori edition,” tagging the featured artists.

The announcement sent fans into a frenzy, with speculation swirling about how this remix will flip the script on the original. Will it lean harder and maintain the standard that has been set by the first remix or will it push the boundaries of Hip-Hop with Pretoria’s signature sound?

The lineup alone is enough to make heads spin. 25K, the Pretoria-bred spitter known for his cinematic flows and hustler’s grit, is expected to bring his A-game, fresh off his acclaimed Pheli Makaveli era. Monchen, a rising force with a knack for raw storytelling, promises to add depth to the track, while GTech and 2Bit—both Pitori trailblazers—bring their technical prowess and street cred to the mix.

Then there’s Loatinover Pounds, the versatile wordsmith whose introspective bars and melodic flair have earned him a cult following. Together, this crew is a dream team of next-gen talent, ready to stamp Pretoria’s mark on the Skuta Baba legacy.

The original Skuta Baba by Woodblock DJs was a cultural juggernaut, blending infectious rhythms with a roster of SA’s biggest names. Cassper Nyovest’s slick charisma, Kwesta’s lyrical gravitas, Buzzi Lee’s vibrant energy, Tony Dayimane’s dark edge, and Kane Keid’s soulful touch turned it into a nationwide anthem. But where that version flexed mainstream muscle, the Pitori Edition feels like a love letter to the underground—a gritty, unfiltered celebration of Pretoria’s Hip-Hop heartbeat.
