A giant disco ball dangled over downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday night (April 9) and twirled among the scattered stars and the waxing moon above thousands of music fans and fashion lovers at the H&M&LA Festival. The free event invited registered guests and others to dance, drink, play, and party into the early morning hours, while recognizing the global power of music and culture. The diverse crowd featured friend groups from around the world, which was also reflected in the talent lineup.
Performers who took the multiple stages at the widespread event included Uncle Waffles, Robyn, Jamie xx, PinkPantheress, SAILORR, and more. Grammy winner Doechii performed as the headlining act, bringing the Swamp from Florida to the West Coast.
“Last night was really special. The energy was just right, the vibe was EVERYTHING,” expressed the “Denial Is A River” performer in a statement provided by the retailer.
The full event included freebies from H&M from their cosmetic and fragrance lines, complimentary churros and popcorn, and a cash bar. Guests were also invited to enjoy meals from Los Angeles staples such as In-N-Out, Pink’s Hot Dogs, and Kogi BBQ Tacos. Among the audience were Tyla, Tinashe, Alex Cosani, Dakota Fanning, Riley Keough, Barbie Ferreria, and more, all dressed in looks from the “ethereally bohemian” H&M spring/summer 2025 collection.
“All of us at H&M wanted this event to be a love letter to the people and city of LA. This one-of-a-kind festival is a celebration of fashion, music, joy, and community – the heart of what H&M is all about,” detailed Jörgen Andersson, Chief Creative Officer, H&M.
