Doja Cat made it clear that she is not okay with overly personal meet-and-greets. A viral clip of the Grammy-winner and TikTok influencer Pablo Tamayo made rounds on social media this weekend not just for the late-night moment, but also for her reaction to the entire ordeal.
In the clip, Doja Cat and Tamayo hug — with Doja throwing her leg up on him — as he gifts her the shirt off his back. The shirt was a white tank top that exclaimed, “hot boys kiss boys.” In the interaction, he kissed the “Say So” performer on the cheek.
After the moment, the 29-year-old described her feelings about the seemingly innocent moment. Although the rapper has deleted the posts, screenshots were shared of her calling the top “musty” and asserting that she should “stand up” for herself in the moment, “sometimes,” rather than wait until afterwards.
“I threw that musty a** shirt away btw,” she detailed on X.
“bottom line is i’ll smile at you but it doesn’t mean I f**k w you and don’t touch me and man handle me when you don’t even f**kin know me. iykyk. i honestly think I need to stand up for myself in the moment sometimes. and he didn’t even know my f**kin name to be touching me and kissing me on my face like that is crazy.”
Doja Cat followed up the statement by responding to fans calling her out for exhibiting friendly behavior in the moment, only to bash Tamayo later online.

“i was very drunk idk what to tell you,” she shared with a user who asked why she continued to engage with Tamayo, per Buzzfeed.
“He did, but i don’t like how comfortable he was touching me and kissing me without asking permission,” she shared when another user asked if Tamayo smelled good.
In another response, the “Agora Hills” rhymer shared, “LMAO wait ur right nvm thanks for educating me how me on how i feel.”
Tamayo himself responded to Doja Cat’s posts on X with a TikTok video from his point of view.
“I just want to clear this up because it hurts because I loved her. I watched her at Coachella. I never claimed to be the biggest fan, but I stan her and I think her work is amazing,” he reflected.
“I would’ve never wanted to make her uncomfortable. I would’ve never filmed if she didn’t say yes. That video that we filmed was after everything,” and added. “I understand that she has to set her boundaries. She’s a celebrity. I’m not. I will never understand that, so I value that… I appreciate and I get that.”
Tamayo continued, “I apologize if I did anything wrong at all. I know I didn’t know her first name. I never claimed to be the biggest fan ever. I just respect her a lot for her work.”
